About Onward Homestead
Onward Homestead is a small family farm in Virgin, Utah, rooted in family, faith, food, and community.
Our story reaches back to the late 1800s, when two families came to Virgin from different backgrounds and began building a new life in Southern Utah. Their days were filled with both happiness and hardship as they worked to create something lasting for their children and grandchildren.
Over time, those families grew. Some generations branched out in new directions, while others stayed close to their Southern Utah roots.

We are grateful to grow food for our community and to invite others into the rhythm of farm life.
Come visit us at the farmers market, stop by the farm store, or follow along to see what is growing, ripening, and ready to share.
Today, Onward Homestead is a place where children and plants grow side by side. The Spendloves tend fruit and nut trees, grapevines, a large garden, and a lively mix of animals. The work is not always easy, but every season brings them closer to the dream they are building.
Part of that dream is helping people feel more connected to where their food comes from. At Onward Homestead, carrots may come in the winter and spring, tomatoes in the summer, and pistachios in the fall. Each season brings something different to share.
