At Onward Homestead, we care about nutritious food, thoughtful growing practices, and taking care of the Earth. We may be small, but our hearts are in the work.
We are a small farm growing food and family in Virgin, Utah. We love sharing our knowledge and our products with people who care about where food comes from and how things are grown. Our goal is to grow community as we grow and raise food.
How We Grow and Raise Food
Do you spray your garden or trees?
No. We do not like to spray our garden or trees. We care about the land, the food we grow, and the people we grow it for.
Is your chicken certified organic?
No. Our chicken is not certified organic, so we do not use that word to describe it. Our chickens do have outside access 24/7.
Why does local food sometimes cost more?
Our customers understand that locally grown food may cost more than what they can buy at a large grocery store. They also know they are supporting a local farm, getting high-quality food, and reducing the distance their food has to travel.
Our Products
What products does Onward Homestead sell?
Onward Homestead offers fresh produce, pistachios, chicken, eggs, sourdough bread, raw milk, and other seasonal items. Availability may change based on the season, harvest, production schedule, and farmers market inventory.
Are all products available year-round?
Not always. Many homestead products are seasonal or limited in quantity. Produce, chicken, bread, pistachios, and other products may be available at different times depending on the season, harvest, and production schedule.
Pickup at a Glance
Onward Homestead offers local pickup only.
Farm stand pickup: Available during open hours unless a product has specific pickup instructions.
Hurricane pickup: Thursdays, 10 to 10:30 a.m., southeast corner of the Hurricane Walmart parking lot.
Toquerville pickup: Thursdays, 11 to 11:30 a.m., large pull-out area on the east side of the on-ramp at the Toquerville exit.
Raw milk: Farm pickup only. Online raw milk pickup is available Monday through Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. For Thursday pickup, please contact us before ordering.
Sourdough: Thursday pickup only through online checkout with a three-day lead time.
Do you sell produce?
Yes. Onward Homestead offers seasonal produce when available. Produce availability changes throughout the year, so customers should check current listings, farmers market updates, or contact us before ordering.
Do you sell chicken?
Yes. Onward Homestead offers chicken when available. You can order chicken cuts and eggs here. Because poultry products may require specific pickup, storage, or handling instructions, customers should review product details carefully before ordering. We do not offer live chickens at this time.
Do you sell eggs?
Yes. Onward Homestead offers eggs by the dozen when available. Egg availability may change based on the natural laying schedule, season, and what is ready to share. Please review current product availability before ordering.
Do you sell raw milk?
Yes. Onward Homestead offers raw milk by the half gallon when available.
Raw milk is farm pickup only and is not available at the Hurricane or Toquerville pickup locations. It cannot be shipped or delivered. Raw milk can be picked up whenever the farm stand is open.
Please bring your own clean container. If you do not have one, glass containers are available for purchase onsite and can be reused for future refills.
Do you sell bread or baked goods?
Yes. Onward Homestead offers homemade sourdough when available.
Sourdough is made fresh weekly, requires a three-day lead time, and is currently available for Thursday pickup through online checkout. Sourdough may also be available at farmers markets when we have it at the booth, but farmers market availability is not scheduled through online checkout.
Do you sell pistachios online?
Yes. Pistachios may be available through our online store when in season and while supplies last. Pistachios are currently available for local pickup only and are not available for shipping or home delivery at this time.
Why are pistachios a good product to buy from Onward Homestead?
Pistachios are flavorful, giftable, and easy to take on the road. We offer a select number of flavors to satisfy different tastes. They are a great option for farmers market shoppers, online customers, and travelers looking for a local Utah product to enjoy or share.
Buying From the Farm
Where can I buy your products locally?
Customers can find Onward Homestead products at local farmers markets, through local pick up, and at select local retail locations, including 101 Custom Meat store located at 1941 E 50th S, Virgin, Utah.
You may find us at the Springdale and Hurricane Farmers Market. Please check out our Farmers Market and Local Pickup pages for more details.
Do you sell at farmers markets?
Yes. Onward Homestead sells produce, eggs, chicken, pistachios, sourdough bread, and other seasonal products when available.
You can find us at the Hurricane Utah Farmers Market and Springdale Farmers Market during their market seasons. Market schedules, attendance, and product availability may vary, so please check our Farmers Market page or social media before visiting.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Onward Homestead currently offers local pickup only. We are not offering shipping or home delivery at this time.
Farm stand pickup is available at 1981 E 50 S, Virgin, UT 84779 during open hours unless a product has specific pickup instructions.
Thursday off-site pickup is available at the Hurricane Walmart parking lot from 10 to 10:30 a.m. and at the Toquerville exit pickup spot from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Do you offer local delivery?
No. Onward Homestead is not offering home delivery at this time. We currently offer local pickup only.

Do you offer subscriptions?
Sourdough subscription options may be available. Please contact us if you are interested in a regular loaf or have a special request.
Do you ship products?
Because of the nature of what we grow, bake, and raise, most of our products are available for local pickup only.
In the future, we plan to ship pistachios.
Can I place a custom or special order?
Custom or special orders may be available depending on the product and season. Please contact us with your request, and we will let you know what is possible.
How should products be stored after purchase?
Storage depends on the product. Pistachios can be stored in the cupboard, pantry, or on the counter in a cool, dry place. Raw milk must be kept refrigerated. Chicken should be kept refrigerated or frozen. Sourdough can be kept at room temperature for short-term use or sliced and frozen for longer storage.
Produce and other fresh products may require refrigeration, room-temperature storage, or prompt pickup. Please review the product description for specific storage and care instructions.

Onward Homestead is located at 1981 E 50 S, Virgin, UT 84779, near Zion National Park. We serve local customers and travelers visiting Southern Utah. You can find us at our farm, local farmers markets, and select local retail locations.
Do you offer farm tours?
Farm tours and homestead-related visits are by appointment only. Please contact us before visiting for anything outside of regular farm stand pickup.
Can travelers stop by on the way to Zion National Park?
Travelers are welcome to shop at the farm stand during open hours or visit us at local farmers markets when in season. For farm tours or homestead-related visits, please contact us ahead of time.
Do customers need an appointment before visiting?
